Fast, fun, thematic and strategic, Glory to Rome is a game that both playing groups love to play, and it’s one of the few games that works equally well whether it’s 3, 4 or 5 players.  There’s something about taking roles, taking turns as the leader, hiring people, gathering materials, building buildings and taking the “think” action, that is just loads and loads of fun.  It can happen that one player gets out to an insurmountable lead early on, or another player falls hopelessly behind early on, so it has its limitations but the game is usually over quickly anyways. Fast enough for a warmup, replayable enough for a marathon session. It’s one of our favorite games.
