In a 2025 session we tried out The Wampa by Sultan an Rich Pizor back in idk maybe 2005, and laid out more recently by isutton.
We found it 1. A really fun concept. I printed it out because I’ve heard about how much fun it is from others — multiple others! They talked it up on Discord recently and that was that, I had to print it and I totally get it. 2. Not very functional. It was a nice early effort, but we’ve learned a lot about single character decks since then, and it’s time to apply those lessons and give it a Wampa makeover.
Frankly, a lot of my print-and-play decisions are based on my ability to find a good figure for that character, and I’ve always had one for the Wampa. Plus, I have a Hoth Han & Chewie deck to play it against, probably with Bespin Luke as I don’t really have the inspiration for a Hoth Luke deck.
