One of the few things I liked about Eps VII-IX is the character of Maz Kanata, the 1000-year-old Yoda-like combination of bar matron, grade school teacher and Indiana Jones. I found a nice 3D printed figure for her, and I seek to make a deck for her that is low on attack value but effective despite that, which requires forced discarding. “Palpatine Light with a Blaster” is what I’m going for.

In terms of dueling in the Geektopia universe, I consider Maz a dangerous and capable opponent with skill, influence, force sensitivity, and an assortment of weapons and equipment at her disposal. She’s seen a millennia of fully trained Jedi come and go, and would know how to deal with them. Though she’d be outmatched against a Yoda or Darth Sidious, she’d have a plan to beat them, too. For example, if ysalimiri or anything similar is a thing, she’d find a way to get her hands on it. She should be no lower than Tier 2B and no weaker than Jabba, but I wouldn’t have any concerns if she ended up more like 2A or even 1B. Weak minors let us focus on her, so I’m going with some heavy cards here.
