Sinbad and Porter
by Restoration Games (Rob Daviau and Justin Jacobson)

So this is my favorite kind of deck, the build-over-time attack that Tim Wutke uses in his Zuko & Iro deck for Avatar the Last Airbender, and that I tried to get going in a Kit Fisto deck.  Sinbad, with his 17 talent cards, does it better than any of them, plus he gets the bonus to his movement.  I value movement and therefore find Sinbad’s ability to start moving 4, 5 and 6 per turn to be a bit ridiculous.

Notes:

– Sinbad is unique in his having 13 basic cards, where everyone else has 12, and therefore only 17 special cards, where everyone else has 18.

– EXPLOIT definitely looks like a card that anyone could use as part of their basic deck.

– LEAP AWAY is essentially a stronger form of SKIRMISH. It doesn’t seem you’d have both cards. I wouldn’t give it to just anyone.

– FEINT and REGROUP appear 3 times in every deck so far.

Got the BoL set in the mail today!

Sinbad seems to be the best designed and most effective deck in this set. He is the King of the Comeback, and I’ve used the hand limit of 7 with Riches Beyond Compare to get rid of 2 Voyages I didn’t need just to get stronger faster.

Sinbad is my fave! I love the “attack increases in strength as you use it” mechanic that Tim Wutke employs in his Zuko & Iroh deck, but it’s done better with Sinbad since it can utilize more cards.
