Slapshot. A light, fun little beer-and-pretzel game that the Geektopia group uses as a warmup. You don’t even have to like hockey to enjoy the game.  Roman does like hockey, but has mostly loved the game ever since they decided to use his portrait on the box cover.

We played it as recently as GenCon 2018 and it’s still really fun.  It’s one of those games you sort of have to hover in second place, let others decimate the number one team towards the end of the season, then begin the playoffs while you’re the best team.

There are several varieties of this game out there, originally known as Phantoms of the Ice.  We have a couple of different versions ourselves.
